
Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has appealed for help from the public after becoming involved in a difficult situation with GT Bank.
Afolabi disclosed that she had accidentally deposited the amount of N510,000 to a customer’s account in April after returning from a pilgrimage to Mecca. To her shock, both parties had used the same bank.
Afolabi posted the following on her Instagram profile as a request for help:
“I accidentally sent the amount of 500,000 naira to a customer’s account! The same bank is used by us both. beginning on April 1, 2023. Gamers mi e ma eyin fans keh. Sincerely, I am exhausted.
Expressing her growing impatience and weariness, the actress directed her appeal directly at her bank, urging them to take appropriate action.
“Help tag @gtbank, it’s been over 3 months! They held on to my five hundred and ten thousand naira. I have been patient, I am exhausted. @gtbank @centralbankng kindly do the needful.”
In response to Afolabi’s plea for assistance, her fans and colleagues shared words of encouragement and guidance to her on how to navigate the situation effectively while some shared their experiences using the bank.

@maadanaaccssories commented:”our lawyer should do the needful, there is something called bankers order, it’s a court’s order ordering the bank to release the fund, no bank has the right to dip their hands into customer’s account without the necessary order from the court of law. So once you are armed with that it should help.”
