How To Fetch As Google In The New Search Console

New Search Console: Ever since Google rolled out the New Search Console, many bloggers have been excited about the design. However, more are concerned about features that have changed or missing; especially the fetch as Google menu in the sidebar.

Now, you may be wondering, how do I submit posts to Google for indexing in the new Webmaster tool ? It is very easy.

In this Episode, I shall teach you How To Fetch And Submit Post To Google for indexing In The New Search Console. Are you ready for this? Take a bottle of Fanta and lets begin the journey.

Login:

If you are not already logged in to your Google account or the new search console already, visit https://search.google.com/search-console
and then login in with your Gmail and password .

If you are already logged in to the old search console, just click on Use New Search Console at the top. It should redirect you to the new search console.

Url Inspection:

After you have logged in, you will see URL INSPECTION . Url inspection is the same as the
Search as Google you already know. Insert your full url into the box and hit enter or Search button.

Request Indexing:

After retrieving data, you will be told whether the url is on Google or Not . Then click on request indexing. It will test whether live url can be indexed or not. After that, Google will add your url to priority queue.

Google then determine whether to crawl only submitted link or submitted links and associated urls/pages. That’s all. You have successfully requested indexing. You can then check if your new article has started appearing on Google Search Results.

A question for you: Which do you prefer and thinks is easier between the new search console and the old one? Also, remember that Google is still working on the new search console.

Are you satisfied? If No, Feel free to ask me questions and don’t fail to share this with friends.

How To Create The Right Meta Description To Boost Your Seo

How to create the right meta description

How To Create The Right Meta Description To Boost Your Seo
The meta description is a snippet of up to 320 characters, a tag in HTML, that summarizes a page’s content. Search engines show the meta description in search results mostly when the searched for phrase is contained in the description. Optimizing the meta description is a very important aspect of on-page SEO.

What does a meta description do?

The meta description is an HTML tag, which looks like this in the HTML:

<meta name="description" content="A page's description,
  usually one or two sentences."/>

The function of a meta description for your page is simple: its main purpose is to get the visitor from Google to click your link. In other words, meta descriptions are there to generate clickthroughs from search engines.
Search engines say there is no direct ranking benefit from the meta description – they don’t use it in their ranking algorithm. There is an indirect benefit, though: Google uses click-through-rate (CTR) as a way of determining whether you’re a good result.

If more people click your result then they’d expect based on your position, they move you up. This is why optimizing the meta description is so important, as is optimizing your titles.

Characteristics of a good meta description

I think every article on meta descriptions will tell you some of these, but I combined all that made sense to me and came up with this list.
  1. It can be up to 320 characters.
There is no ‘this number is right’ in this. It depends on what Google adds to your search result and how much they want to show. Google might, for instance, add the date to an article, and that will reduce the number of characters. Recently, Google made changes to the length of search results snippets: 160 characters became up to 320. Following that, we changed the recommended meta description length in the plugin.
  2. It should be actionable, in an active voice.
Of course it should. If you consider the meta description the invitation to the page, you can’t just make it “A mixed metaphor describing a non-existent, yet implicitly high level of qualification.” That’s a dull description. I’ll explain using some examples later.
  3. It should include a call-to-action.
“Hello, we have such and such new product, and you want it. Find out more!” This overlaps the active voice, but I wanted to emphasize it. It’s your sales text, where your product is the page that is linked, not the product on that page. Invitations like Learn more, Get it now, Try for free come to mind.
  4. It could contain structured content.
If you have a product for f.i. the tech-savvy, focussing on technical specs of the product could be a good idea. Manufacturer, SKU, price, things like that. If the visitor is specifically looking for that product, chances are you don’t have to convince him. Things like a price will trigger the click. Note that you could, of course, use rich snippets for this as well.
  5. It should match the content.
This is important. Google will find the meta descriptions that trick the visitor into clicking. It might even penalize the site that created the meta description. Next to that, it will probably increase bounce rate and is a bad idea just for that. You want the meta description to match the content on the page.
  6. It should contain the focus keyword.
If the search keyword matches text in the meta description, Google will be more inclined to use that meta description and highlight it in the search results. That will make the link more related already.
  7. The meta description should be unique.
If your meta description is a duplicate, the user experience in Google will be less. Although page titles might vary, all pages seem the same as all descriptions are equal. If you intentionally want / need / are enticed to create a duplicate meta description, you’d better leave the description empty and have Google pick a snippet from the page containing the keyword used in a search. Visit Google Webmaster Tools > HTML Improvements or use Screaming Frog SEO Spider to check for duplicate meta descriptions.

Examples of a good meta description

In the preparation for this post, I have checked some of the various articles that mention meta descriptions. I found a lot of wisdom, but almost no examples. I think actual examples will make it easier for you to construct a proper meta description for yourself. Taking the six bullet points above into account, let’s go over some examples.

The right length

This meta description has the right length

Personally, I like my meta descriptions like this. Dated and three lines of text.

Google might show a different text

Over 250 characters
Note that the actual meta description inserted in that page was only 76 characters and Google probably decided not to use it for that reason.

In an active voice

Get Yoast SEO for WordPress

Including a call-to-action

Including a call-to-action
There’s two, actually. ‘Learn more now’ and the site link ‘Buy Now $ 399.00’. Both entice that click.

Including structured content

Including structured content
8 MP Camera, that’s what I wanted to know. I don’t need that sales text here; I just want that phone.

Containing the focus keyword

Including the focus keyword and variations

And variations. Note that Google highlights Academy Awards as well when searching for Oscars. This will make your search result stand out even more.

Where to start, I have so many pages?

Feel like changing all the meta descriptions after reading this? That might be a burden, with all the pages you have. And where would you find the time for that? Google actually answers this:
If you don’t have time to create a description for every single page, try to prioritize your content: At the very least, create a description for the critical URLs like your home page and popular pages.
Simply take it from there. And be sure to optimize all new meta descriptions from now on.

The Importance of Backlinks

If you’ve read anything about or studied Search Engine Optimization, you’ve come across the term “backlink” at least once. For those of you new to SEO, you may be wondering what a backlink is, and why they are important. Backlinks have become so important to the scope of Search Engine Optimization, that they have become some of the main building blocks to good SEO. In this article, we will explain to you what a backlink is, why they are important, and what you can do to help gain them while avoiding getting into trouble with the Search Engines.

What are “backlinks”? Backlinks are links that are directed towards your website. Also knows as Inbound links (IBL’s). The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website. Backlinks are important for SEO because some search engines, especially Google, will give more credit to websites that have a good number of quality backlinks, and consider those websites more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query.

When search engines calculate the relevance of a site to a keyword, they consider the number of QUALITY inbound links to that site. So we should not be satisfied with merely getting inbound links, it is the quality of the inbound link that matters.
A search engine considers the content of the sites to determine the QUALITY of a link. When inbound links to your site come from other sites, and those sites have content related to your site, these inbound links are considered more relevant to your site. If inbound links are found on sites with unrelated content, they are considered less relevant. The higher the relevance of inbound links, the greater their quality.

For example, if a webmaster has a website about how to rescue orphaned kittens, and received a backlink from another website about kittens, then that would be more relevant in a search engine’s assessment than say a link from a site about car racing. The more relevant the site is that is linking back to your website, the better the quality of the backlink.

Search engines want websites to have a level playing field, and look for natural links built slowly over time. While it is fairly easy to manipulate links on a web page to try to achieve a higher ranking, it is a lot harder to influence a search engine with external backlinks from other websites. This is also a reason why backlinks factor in so highly into a search engine’s algorithm. Lately, however, a search engine’s criteria for quality inbound links has gotten even tougher, thanks to unscrupulous webmasters trying to achieve these inbound links by deceptive or sneaky techniques, such as with hidden links, or automatically generated pages whose sole purpose is to provide inbound links to websites. These pages are called link farms, and they are not only disregarded by search engines, but linking to a link farm could get your site banned entirely.

Another reason to achieve quality backlinks is to entice visitors to come to your website. You can’t build a website, and then expect that people will find your website without pointing the way. You will probably have to get the word out there about your site. One way webmasters got the word out used to be through reciprocal linking. Let’s talk about reciprocal linking for a moment.

There is much discussion in these last few months about reciprocal linking. In the last Google update, reciprocal links were one of the targets of the search engine’s latest filter. Many webmasters had agreed upon reciprocal link exchanges, in order to boost their site’s rankings with the sheer number of inbound links. In a link exchange, one webmaster places a link on his website that points to another webmasters website, and vice versa. Many of these links were simply not relevant, and were just discounted. So while the irrelevant inbound link was ignored, the outbound links still got counted, diluting the relevancy score of many websites. This caused a great many websites to drop off the Google map.

We must be careful with our reciprocal links. There is a Google patent in the works that will deal with not only the popularity of the sites being linked to, but also how trustworthy a site is that you link to from your own website. This will mean that you could get into trouble with the search engine just for linking to a bad apple. We could begin preparing for this future change in the search engine algorithm by being choosier with which we exchange links right now. By choosing only relevant sites to link with, and sites that don’t have tons of outbound links on a page, or sites that don’t practice black-hat SEO techniques, we will have a better chance that our reciprocal links won’t be discounted.

Many webmasters have more than one website. Sometimes these websites are related, sometimes they are not. You have to also be careful about interlinking multiple websites on the same IP. If you own seven related websites, then a link to each of those websites on a page could hurt you, as it may look like to a search engine that you are trying to do something fishy. Many webmasters have tried to manipulate backlinks in this way; and too many links to sites with the same IP address is referred to as backlink bombing.

One thing is certain: interlinking sites doesn’t help you from a search engine standpoint. The only reason you may want to interlink your sites in the first place might be to provide your visitors with extra resources to visit. In this case, it would probably be okay to provide visitors with a link to another of your websites, but try to keep many instances of linking to the same IP address to a bare minimum. One or two links on a page here and there probably won’t hurt you.

There are a few things to consider when beginning your backlink building campaign. It is helpful to keep track of your backlinks, to know which sites are linking back to you, and how the anchor text of the backlink incorporates keywords relating to your site. A tool to help you keep track of your backlinks is the Domain Stats Tool. This tool displays the backlinks of a domain in Google, Yahoo, and MSN. It will also tell you a few other details about your website, like your listings in the Open Directory, or DMOZ, from which Google regards backlinks highly important; Alexa traffic rank, and how many pages from your site that have been indexed, to name just a few.

Another tool to help you with your link building campaign is the Backlink Builder Tool. It is not enough just to have a large number of inbound links pointing to your site. Rather, you need to have a large number of QUALITY inbound links. This tool searches for websites that have a related theme to your website which are likely to add your link to their website. You specify a particular keyword or keyword phrase, and then the tool seeks out related sites for you. This helps to simplify your backlink building efforts by helping you create quality, relevant backlinks to your site, and making the job easier in the process.

There is another way to gain quality backlinks to your site, in addition to related site themes: anchor text. When a link incorporates a keyword into the text of the hyperlink, we call this quality anchor text. A link’s anchor text may be one of the under-estimated resources a webmaster has. Instead of using words like “click here” which probably won’t relate in any way to your website, using the words “Please visit our tips page for how to nurse an orphaned kitten” is a far better way to utilize a hyperlink. A good tool for helping you find your backlinks and what text is being used to link to your site is the Backlink Anchor Text Analysis Tool. If you find that your site is being linked to from another website, but the anchor text is not being utilized properly, you should request that the website change the anchor text to something incorporating relevant keywords. This will also help boost your quality backlinks score.

Building quality backlinks is extremely important to Search Engine Optimization, and because of their importance, it should be very high on your priority list in your SEO efforts. We hope you have a better understanding of why you need good quality inbound links to your site, and have a handle on a few helpful tools to gain those links.

Traffic is one of the best factor a good blogger in being successful. You can’t be blogging and have no one reading your article, it’s just like preparing for an exam that won’t be marked or writing a book that
won’t be marked. You might end up quitting blogging or losing passion for blogging. Imagine If there is no Google or bing or yahoo, then you maybe wondering how you would drive traffic to your blog. In this

2. Guest Posting

Guest post has served as a good way for new bloggers to get their site identified from top blogs of their niche. A guest post should be a high quality content that visitors love to read. Before embarking on Guest post you should notice sites in your niche that accept guest posting. You can also get sites you wish to publish guest post from google search engine. For example your can type your (niche type) and (guest post strings). Common guest post strings include guest post, contributed by, write for us, suggest a post, guest post written by. Once you get sites you wish to publish your guest post, you can contact the admins of the site using the contact page. The message you send to the admin of the site considers matters. Make it error free, complement his blog by telling him you love the way he write and tell him you would live to post a guest post in his blog. Signing up for top social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Youtube and even Whatsapp. You might be actually be wondering how Whatsapp messenger can actually drive traffic to your blog. I have a tech blog which I shared Android tips, browsing, flashing roms and phone specs. I created a page where interested visitors could join my Whatsapp group and I was able to create three
groups. I became interactive with the groups solving problems for the users and referring them to my blog url If the problem was in my blog. Also, I updated them regularly with new updates from my blog and to my surprise, my traffic jumped from 10k to 15k. This was my Whatsapp strategy, you also get traffic from Facebook groups, Twitter and Google plus.
There are plugins like Jetpack, Coschedule, HYPEsocial Buffer,Revive old Post etc that helps autopost your post to social medias like Facebook, Twitter, Google plus, linked in etc. This shows on your audience timeline when they login and they click on topics that they like therefore bringing back traffic to your blog. You should also learn to interactive with your audience on Social medias by replying to their queries or commenting when questions are asked. Try and avoid spamming by not posting the same article constantly, that might annoy your audience so try as much as possible to keep them updated with new and fresh contents. You can also gain traffic from youtube from your Youtube videos. Creating a channel in Youtube is easy, all you need to do is to sign in your gmail account, confirm your name and start posting. For example in my android tech niche, I created Youtube videos of solving certain problems in your Android device and after the video you can tell your viewers to visit your blog on how to get the written tutorial or files needed to solve the android problem. By so doing, I was able to drive traffic from Youtube to my blog.

4. Giveaways and Promos

Giveaways and promos are the best ways to drive traffic to your blog. They help to draw your visitors back to your blog and stay longer. Giveaways involves engaging your users in your website to gain free
products or services. I have been blogging for over two years now on my tech blog http://rockgist.com. I engaged in a free new year giveaway promo promising winners free recharge cards of over $10. All they had to do was to follow me on my twitter handle, like my Facebook
page, be constantly commenting my blog and sharing them to Facebook and Twitter. I shared the giveaway promo to my whatsapp group, facebook and on twitter and before two days, I could see increase in comments and my followers. I eventually selected five winners at the end of the month and gave that $10(#2000) recharge cards each of their choice. I was able to accomplish two things. First and increase in traffic that month than the previous two months and secondly, an increase in my fbk fans and twitter followers.
Promos are related to giveaways. If you sell products like Phones or ebooks, you can decide to slash the price to half giving this to some certain users that perform certain tasks. It could be the for the first users that input their emails will get this promos. By doing this, you are getting your visitors to subscribe to your blog via e-mails and enable the visitors to want to check back for similar
promos or offers.

5. Forums

Forums are also good strategies to drive traffic to your blog. They don’t only create awareness of your blog, but also serves as a quality backlink for your blog.  Top forums that have proven to be helpful to
me includes  nairaway.com, quora.com, reddit.com. I engage in forums by answering questions giving them links If it’s in my site, posting with a source link from my blog. You should also learn to abide by this forum rules and regulations or you might end up being banned by the moderators. Try to answer comment in a best possible way and prevent unnecessary posting of your links in the comments because that might arise to spamming. Also post quality
content and avoid read more at your website url, instead after posting, add Source: yourwebsite url. That will help create backlink and make users that love the post want to read more from your blog
there by driving traffic to your blog.

6. Interviews

Interviews from well-known people in the society or in your niche is a good way to drive traffic in your blog. For instance, If you have a music blog, you can interview a popular musician or upcoming artiste.
You can post the interview in your blog but in written format and video format. Your readers would love to view the post because the person is well-known or successful. You can the urge them to share to
friends on social medias thereby driving in more traffic to your blog. The person also interviewed can be of help to you by sharing the post on his/her social media handles. You might be surprised the traffic
the post would generate.

7. Email updates

Most online users have an email whether gmail or yahoomail or hotmail. Keeping them update with the latest trends from your blog is a good way to drive traffic to your blog. The problem is getting the mails of your visitors. There are strategies you can use to engage your users in subscribing to your blog post. The best two strategies are giveaways and pushup subscriptions. These two strategies have helped
me in updating my users via mail. As earlier discussed in giveaways, you can tell your viewers to input their email to be eligible for the promo or offers. This will prompt visitors to be input their email and
subscribe to your post updates via mail. Another way is pushup subscription allows e-mail subscription pop-ups to visitors when viewing your blog. Widgets or plugins from feedburner, mailchimp,
summome, sharethis, support this pop-up notifications. You should set time for the mail pop-ups like one weekly or daily so avoid it from driving your visitors away. You should be strategic and use captivating words that would allow them subscribe to your blog post.
For example for my niche, I can use “Don’t miss the all in one blogging package from Prolifekits”, input your mail now. That would allow users that view the pop-up subscriptions, subscribe to my blog
post via mail.

Conclusion

Search engines has proven to be a good source of traffic but as new bloggers, you should focus more on social medias, promos and giveaways and other strategies mentioned above because one you start getting quality traffic, believe me, Google and other search engines would start ranking you higher.

6 important Reasons Why Your Blog Might Not Be Getting Traffic

If your site is not getting any traffic you most be doing something wrong. is very easy for everyone to create their own website, but not everyone understands the strategy to get traffic to the site, I have seen some newbie on a forum who get frustrated because their blog is not getting any traffic. I really feel bad for them, because they don't understand the strategy of getting traffic.

when they read some post on the web, how to create their own site and make money with it, they will quick create a site, post some article and then wait for the traffic to come in. it doesn't work that way, you need to understand and learn some strategy to get traffic your site.

without traffic, there is no way you can make money with your site. you can create 5 websites in less than a minute but driving traffic to it is a very big problem. I publish a post few day ago on SEO For Beginners- How To Rank In Google,  I got many emails that say, how they find it very difficult to get traffic to their site and everyone know more traffic make more money.

I don't want to reply everyone with the say same messages, that is the reason why I write these article to explain some mistake people make when it come fo getting traffic to their site, especially the newbie.

Here are my 6 Reason Why Your Blog is not Getting Traffic And How you can get traffic to your site after reading this article. let move on.

1. Your Site Is New.

you need to understand that, having a new site will not get you thousand of per view per day if you read any article online say that you can get 5000 visits to your site per day with a new blog, bro that is a lie. they are saying this to promote their own product or website.

the fact is this, you can get a 500-page view in a day if you write a great content and submit this content to all social network site and forum. but you will never get that same visitor in the next day. and it depends on the content you post to those social network site and forum that will get you 500-page view in that day.

the reason is that social network site and forum are there for quick traffic, not a repeated traffic, you most understand these.

2. Social Media.

Like I said, it depend on the content you post to those social network site and forum that will get you 500-page view in that day,

the fact is this, people on social network site like facebook and twitter are there for some purposes, just like you are there to promote your own site, and getting them off facebook and get them to your site is kind difficult, you most have written a great article that takes their attention.

for example, when you join a group on facebook, let say the group name makes money online with 5 thousand members, but do you really know that other members of that group are also there to promote their own website, there are 97% chance you will never get any traffic from that group. let me give you 2 reason for this.

* When you post to this group, you are telling other member of that group to trust you and leave what they are doing and visit your own site.

* When you post to those group, your post will disappear in less than 40 seconds, because other members of that group are also posting their own link and this will make your post to go down and went off.

if you join a group about photography to promote your stuff, other people on that group are also there to promote their own stuff. so getting them to visit your site is a big problem. think about it, when you visit a group to post a link, do you even look at other posts not to talk about visiting the link, that is what will happen to your post also before it went off from that group. you need to understand that.

the only way to generate repeated traffic from social media is to do pay advertising because your ads will appear in from of millions of users, some may be interesting while some may not.

do not waste too much time on social media, because if you send your post to them, people who want to react will react, that is the fact

3. Getting Backlink

if you are not getting any traffic from a search engine like google,

you need to build backlink for your site, because google see those link as a vote for your site, and they will rank you high on search engine base on the link you got.

if you publish a new content, you don't need to use some pinging site to get your post index, because have a quality backlink will make google index your post faster.

But is not easy to get a quality backlink, you can get no-follow backlink very easily but getting do-follow backlink is hard, Google will never rank your site if you only have a no-follow backlink, because no-follow backlink doesn't have any value, so you need to be very care how you build your link.

many websites have stopped giving do-follow backlink because they don't want you to rank higher on the web, so getting do-follow backlink is a luck. you may just visit some website and drop your link and luckily that link could be do-follow. if you visit 200 sites and drop your link, you will start getting no-follow, no-follow, no-follow, no-follow, no-follow, no-follow, no-follow, no-follow, luckily only 25 sites could give you do-follow, now you see how hard is that.

4. Content

you update your site with a fresh content, and you close down your computer and start playing a video game, and waiting for traffic to come in, bro, you are wasting your time.

update your site with fresh content will not generate any traffic, you need to promote your content and site, let people know about your fresh content, do some backlink so that your content will rank higher in the search engine.

if may have read some article online that tell you that the only way to get unlimited traffic is to update your site daily, well that is a lie, because getting unlimited traffic to your site doesn't work that way, you need to promote your site, people will see your site and take a look at your new content.

if your site is new, you need to promote it, that is how you can generate unlimited traffic, not by updating it with fresh content and start playing a video game, and you want a miracle to happen.

I don't know how you found this article, maybe on social media, from a search engine, from other site or email subscriber, that is one of my promotion.

5. Title Optimization

optimizing your title is very important, this's what will get people attention and make them want to read your article, apart from that, it will also help the search engine to understand your article.

make sure you use a keyword in your title so that google can display your content to a searcher who are looking for that same keyword you use in your title.

for example, I can use  Top 10 to make money online, than How to make $200 per day.

Google will rank Top 10 to make money online because people search for make money online not make 100 or $200 per day.

people go to google and search for how to make money online, nobody will go to google and search for how to make $200 - 300 or 500 per day or per week, you yourself that write that article will never go to google and search for how to make $200 per day. so you need to learn how to optimize your title to get a better result.

6. Description

A description is also important, but not that important, the most important thing is your title because 90% of people will click on your article because of the title, not the description.

people don't have time to read the description because your title have said it all. for example, Top 10 to make money online, I have already know that your article is about how to make money online, and you want to show me how to make money online. so if am interested will click and read it and if am not, I will close the page.

85% who use google search click on the result because of the title, not the description, pls don't get me wrong. Optimizing your description is very important.

I will like to cover some more stuff, but I don't want to make this article too long because I have received some email that my article is too long. but I hope you learn something new from these, and this's where I will be stopping by

checked, getting discouraged doesn't do anything to
drive people to your site. So, instead of hanging your
head, you should instead jump into one of these
strategies below (or all of them if you really want to
see a jump in traffic).

1. Facebook remarketing

Facebook is a great promotion tool whether you’re in
the B2B or B2C industry. But did you know you can
set up remarketing audiences in Facebook? By
installing a Facebook tracking pixel on your site you
can continue to market to customers who have
visited your site. This is a great way to create return
traffic to your business blog or website. And you can
start remarketing to audiences as small as 100
visitors.

2. Facebook email custom audiences
Staying with Facebook, you can also give that email
list of yours a second life. Instead of just using it to
blast emails to your customers once in a while, you
can upload that list into Facebook and capture the
social accounts of anyone that has their email
address attached to it. This is a HUGE benefit since it
will allow you to market to those users on their
mobile devices.

3. Twitter remarketing
Twitter remarketing works in almost the exact same
way as Facebook remarketing. Simply install the pixel
and you can now target your sites visitors on Twitter.
The main difference is that Twitter will require a
higher minimum audience count before you can start
advertising towards them, 500 people to be exact.

4. Twitter custom audiences
Just like Facebook, you can target Twitter users on
their mobile devices by uploading their emails into
Twitter. However, if you cannot get at least 500
users into your custom audience through an email
upload, then you won’t have the required minimum to
advertise towards them.

5. Twitter Cards
Twitter Cards is a great tool to drive traffic to your
site. They are larger tweets that incorporate images
and allow you to have buttons built into the tweet.
They allow you to have engaging calls to action,
attractive images right in the stream, and you can
even give them special functionality like having
downloads attached directly to the tweet. Tweets
with images get 18 percent more clicks than its text
counterparts, so make sure you’re using Twitter
Cards.

6. Spend 80 percent of your time on the ad's
headline

Did you know that 8 out of 10 people will read a
headline and not read the rest of your ad? If this is
the case, you should be spending the majority of your
time perfecting the headline to grab your audience’s
attention – and driving them to your site. Whether
you’re running ads in Facebook , LinkedIn , Twitter or
pay per click, make sure that your headlines are on
fleek. (Yes, I went there.)
7. Build an email list
I just told you how you can use emails for social
promotion, but they’re also an amazing tool for
driving traffic through a newsletter. Make sure that
you have a newsletter opt-in on your website. Great
tools for doing this are Drip and Optimonk . It’s free
and very easy to set up.

8. Blog, blog, blog
Blogging really does drive traffic. We recently ran
an experiment where we increased our blogging from
twice per week to over 10 posts per week. The result
was a 300 percent increase in traffic in just two
months. And this isn’t an unusual occurrence.
Another company called Convirza ran a similar
experiment with even better results. But, if you’re
going to blog, you better do number nine.

9. Promote your blogs on Facebook
You may have heard that Facebook has cut back on
their organic reach. This means that almost no one
will see your social media posts on Facebook.
Instead, you need to put a little bit of budget behind
them. A good strategy is to have a campaign
constantly running that is featuring your blog posts
and target that campaign towards your custom
audience and remarketing audience as described
above.

10. Optimize your site for SEO
Trying to manipulate the search-engine rankings is a
losing proposition at this point. Instead, what you
should be concerned with is making your site look as
good as possible for the search engine robots that
will be crawling your website. Software like SEMrush
or ahrefs.com can give you a complete SEO audit
and show you what you should fix. Spending time on
your site’s SEO optimization is always time well
spent.

11. Exchange blog posts with other sites
Syndicating your blog on other sites is a great way to
drive new audiences to your site. A great way to do
this is to search for blogs that are in a similar
industry as you and that are in a similar situation in
terms of size and audience. Then, you reach out to
their editor or site administrator and ask if they’d like
to swap blog articles and you each take turns
featuring each other’s blogs and linking back to the
site. Special measures should be taken to avoid
duplicate content, but this is a great way to drive
new customers to your site.

12. Automate your emails
Shockingly, marketing automation has only been
adopted by about 10 percent of all businesses . So,
why aren’t you using marketing automation? Do you
really want to be like those other 90% of companies
that just don't get it? It may have been that the
costs were too prohibitive or that it seemed too
daunting, but there’s help with that.

There are new lower cost marketing automation platforms like
Autopilot and Hatchbuck that are great for small
businesses. But if you still have your heart set on
HubSpot or a similar product, then look for a certified
partner, like my firm or others like us, that can help
onboard you and can even waive the kickoff fees that
can cost several thousand dollars.

Now that you have your software set up, you need to
ensure you have email campaigns set up for
everything. There should be an automated email
campaign when someone fills out a form, downloads
some content or signs up for the newsletter.
By staying in front of your customers through email
you’ll continue to drive relevant traffic to your site.

13. Become a contributor
Contributing to other websites is a great way to drive
traffic to your site. I myself write for about a dozen
major media site, and while it may not result in
immediate customers, the benefits are definitely felt
throughout the organization. And our referral traffic
from these sites is a huge boon.
To become a contributor you need to start small and
work your way up. There were times that I was
writing articles that I knew no one was going to read.
I wasn't contributing to anywhere of note. But I
needed to keep persevering and develop a track
record that editors would take seriously. So start
small and never give up.
Also, you need to hone your craft when it comes to
writing. To do this you need to be writing every
single day. The more you write, the better you’ll be
come and the better your chances will be at
becoming a contributor.

14. Create a quiz
Quizzes are fun pieces of content that work really
well at driving engagement with your visitors. Plus,
they’re a cinch to promote on social media using the
techniques presented earlier in this article. Sites like
Quzzr allow you to create free quizzes to then post
on your blog and drive traffic to your site.

15. Host a webinar or webcast
Regardless of your industry, I can guarantee there’s a
topic you have enough expertise on that your
customers would come to listen to you speak. The
trick is to identify this topic and then to create a fun
and engaging presentation . Once you've chosen the
subject and have a solid slide deck, promote it on
social media, in your newsletter, and ask your
network to spread the word. You may not get a lot of
people to attend, but you can then make the webinar
on-demand and promote it as a download for months
to come.

16. Create a podcast
If you’re worried you can’t present to a live audience
or develop the right message, then instead consider a
podcast. Podcasts are great ways of distributing your
expertise and are a surefire way of driving traffic to
your site -- but you need to be consistent and
promote it.
When you first start off, it will seem like you’re
talking into a black hole and no one is listening to
you. But if you stay persistent and promote your
podcast on social media, your audience will grow and
your future episodes will gain more and more
listeners.

Another great trick to getting a boost in your podcast
audience is to invite a guest that has a large social
following and asking them to help you promote it.
You’d be surprised who would say yes to joining your
podcast, if you only ask them .

17. Find partners in your industry
There are usually dozens of partnership opportunities
for any business out there. The trick is to find those
partners and establish a working relationship. To give
an example of this, we signed up as a partner for
Unbounce. They’re a landing page creation software
that helps companies optimize their marketing
campaigns. It was free to sign up as a partner and
they then featured us in their partner section and
allowed us to do a little write up on our firm. Before
you knew it we were getting leads from their site and
it’s been a great source of traffic for us.

18. Try Pinterest Ads
If you're in the consumer goods space or have a
company that lends itself to great visuals, then you
have to try Pinterest ads. Pinterest boasts the
highest conversion rate for social media traffic . And
since their ads platform is still relatively new, the
costs are quite low and the ROI can be phenomenal.

[SEO Solution] Interesting Factors that Affect Search Engine Webpage Ranking

Factors that Affect Search Engine Webpage Ranking

Domain Name - Your website address can be a tell tale sign of what your site is about - both to consumers and search engines.

Unless you have millions of dollars to educate customers regarding what you are about (like
amazon.com did), you may want to make your website address explain what you do.

For example, suppose you want to start an ecommerce website to sell cell phones. You are better off naming the site cellphones. com. If you check, you will find that the address is taken.

But a name like yournamecelphon
eestore.com will be most likely available. The name clearly tells a consumer and search engine robots what to Expect on your site.

Design components - Once someone (a customer or a search engine crawler) visits your website, your site should be designed such that it makes it clear that this is a cell phone ecommerce site.

You can simply design the site with pictures of phones for sale with description (since search engines typically do not read pictures, you will need to describe the picture with an “alt attribute” for the search engine robots), and steps for purchasing cell phones on your site.

[Most search engines interpret the meaning of objects by analysing their alt attribute.] Designing the site to clearly convey its intent is absolutely critical for higher search engine ranking and would result in better sales from the website.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO is the process of increasing the number of visitors to a website by ranking high in the search results of a search engine.

The higher a website ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user. Your website needs to be optimised to get found when your prospects are searching for your products/services by using a keyword. Below are some ideas for optimising your site for search engines: (optimise means to make as good or useful as possible.)

1.Get your website ready for optimisation:

2.Create a sitemap for your website

3.Add a Google sitemap on your website

4.Make sure that your coding is not blocking search engine robots from crawling the site.

5.Describe all pictures on the site in the source code of the Page. (alt-attribute)

6.Identify the keywords that your prospects use to find your products or services.

Identify the competitiveness of each keyword by -

7.Checking the number of Webpages containing keyword

8.Use tools provided by sites like
www.wordtracker.com to identify competitiveness.

Identify keywords with least competition and target those for optimisation first.

9.Create separate landing pages for each keyword and add them to your website.

Make sure that there is a link from your keyword-centric page to your homepage, and all pages are listed in the site map of your website.

A page title that includes the keyword/key-phrase
A page description (below the title) that briefly describes the page and includes keywords in the text Copy that explains your service (in bullet form to make it easy to scan).

The copy should contain keyword/key-phrase whenever appropriate.
Call to action (what you want a visitor to do)
A well written web page will get a higher page ranking from search engines and will also maximise sales to the website visitors.

10.Make sure the keyword is in the first paragraph of the copy and around 2% of the text in the first paragraph should be keywords. Google especially expects around 2% of the copy content to be a keyword for indexing the page for it.

11.Make sure that the source code of all webpages has an appropriate title, description, keyword meta-tags, and alt-tag; and is consistent with the webpage content.

12.Use keyword hyperlink - Word linked to another page that has additional content using the keyword. Search engines usually follow the links and may credit the site if the page hyperlinked to a keyword is highly relevant for it.

13.Submit all keyword centric webpage URLs to search engines; in addition to the homepage URL.

14.Include your website in your industry-specif
ic directories and trade sites. This increases relevancy of your site for the specific industry in search engine eyes.

15.Add RSS feed in each webpage for the appropriate keyword and bring in relevant information related to the keyword from other sites (RSS is a technical term used to describe feed formats used to publish digital content that is being updated on a frequent basis—such as blogs, news feeds and podcasts.)

16.Create a Blog for each keyword and write Blogs regularly. If you are pressed for time, get it written regularly from writers who will ghostwrites for you. Make sure that your webpage address is mentioned in the Blogs. See the Blog section in this book for details of how to create and market your Blog.

17.Regularly write and post press releases about relevant issues for your business and post it in the press release boards. Make sure your website address is included in the copy of the press release.

18.Join relevant forums and mention your webpage address when appropriate.

19.Add content to the webpage regularly.

20.Generate incoming links to your webpage from other websites. Search engines take it as a vote of confidence when other sites point to your site; especially from well-ranked sites.

21.List your web page in directories and get incoming links to your web page from other related websites.

22.Monitor page ranking of each keyword regularly and track progress.

23.Check sites that show up on page one of search engine and analyse what they are doing different.

Doing the steps above may not bring you in the first page of search engines for all keywords; but you will be successful for enough keywords to make your website extremely profitable.
Now most of the users who have setup their websites already will earn more than Rs.27398 per day… If not you are welcome to the next section.
